Greetings from the Heartland JET Alumni Association
Congratulations to those lucky few who have been chosen as JET’s for the class of 2010 and to the Alternates on stand-by.
Please consider yourselves cordially invited to take part in the 2010 JET Q&A Seminar in Kansas City.
(unless you’re planning to attend a seminar organized by one of our Sub-Chapters or another Chapter)
This highly informative seminar is recommended for both accepted JET’s and Alternates.
The event will take place at Johnson County Community College’s Carlsen Center on Saturday, June 19. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the Opening Ceremony will be at 10:00. Lunch will be served.
You are also invited to attend the 6th Annual Tatsumaki Hoedown on Friday evening, the 18th, at Jack Stack BBQ. This dinner and other activities is our local pre-seminar tradition and a great way to meet your ‘sempai’. If you need accommodation the night before the seminar, please let us know and we will try to arrange a ‘tatami timeshare’ (the JET system of homestays both in Japan and worldwide).
Following the Q&A Seminar there will be an Uchiage Party and our chapter’s Monthly Meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. Please join your sempai for ‘sushi and hanashi’ after the seminar at Sushi Gin, 9559 Nall Ave.
Please let us know which of the events you will be able to attend. Further instructions will be sent once you respond.
We look forward to seeing you there,
Warren McAllen, Chapter President, on behalf of the Seminar Team
